I've known the people behind Goliath since the early 90s when we were all students together at The School of Visual Arts. These fundraising events are crucial to keeping things afloat in Greenpoint. Check 'em out.
On Saturday, April 2, 2005, Goliath Visual Space will host BENADDICTION III, the third annual fundraising benefit to support Goliath's exhibitions and public programs. The benefit evening will include a silent auction and raffle of artworks donated by over 100 artists that will be on view in the gallery and through the Goliath website prior to the benefit evening. All proceeds will benefit Goliath Visual Space.
Goliath Visual Space is a not-for-profit, artist-run organization in Greenpoint, Brooklyn established to provide a fertile and creative environment for artists and to foster knowledge and communication about the arts. Since its establishment in 1999, Goliath has presented the works of 112 emerging and unrepresented artists from 12 countries in over 20 solo and small group exhibitions. In addition to its exhibition schedule, Goliath presents an ongoing series of readings, performances and talks.
